Do You Want to Live Forever? Would You Take A Pill A Day To Live Over 100 Years Old?

Sirtris Pharmaceuticals is testing a pill in humans in a Food and Drug Administration approved clinical trial. But it will take years of tests and trials to know if the drug will ultimately permit people to routinely live to over 100 years old, while fending off diseases of aging ranging from diabetes to cancer.

Yes i would if i have enough money to support my current lifestyle for entire life.

Not forever, but 100 years and forever are quite different. I would totally take a pill to help me live and then when I felt like dying I would just stop taking it and let nature take its course. I think around 80 would be good.

Naw, I think by the time I am 88, I’d be a real pain in the butt..so why subject the world to another 12 years of my antics?

no there is still arthritis and other annoying age related wear and tear that will happen to your body no matter how many pills they find to cure everything beside if side effects are bad for sleeping pills what will this one be like , i don’t want to out live everyone i love who cant afford the pill while trying to coup with chronic diarrhea for 30 years

nope… what’s the point? 100 years old, but everyone around you is gone, face up to reality… who gets more attention nowadays? your kids/nephews/nieces/related kids or teens, or your parents/grand uncles or aunts/that old neighbour of yours?
ok, we respect them more, but which group do we really want to have around us?
look at the from the other way around now, when we are 90+ years old, who would want us? we’d be all so alone… and dependant on somebody who’s not even there!
so why live to 100?

Interesting. I don’t think I would want to live that long unless my family and friends where still alive and I could go to the bathroom without help.
