From the supplier: A letter from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner David Kessler with evidence that tobacco companies deliberately keep nicotine in cigarettes at addictive levels has sparked congressional interest in the regulation of cigarettes as drugs. Rep Mike Synar has introduced a bill to regulate tobacco products, and a similar bill is under consideration in the Senate. Both bodies hope to regulate cigarettes without taking them off the market.
