Is it better to do biological research at a university or biotech/pharmaceutical company?
By
In terms of a combination of these factors: pay, amount of funding, and the ability to make the most progress in molecular biology via the open atmosphere and intellectual flexibility. The first factor isn’t that important, but basically is one more likely to make more research progress in a university or company?

university. you get access to tissue samples that you will need and unlike the pharmaceutical which borrow from the universities and things like that. plus college guys and girls are a lot of fun to be around

Well, in terms of advancement flexibility and money I believe a biotech company can do more of that for you. But in terms of progress in getting top research a university would be better.
