I guess we are better than most but still fall short. FDA claims it's not their deal. Waste water mgmt claims it's not their deal. I drink filtered Kanga water but I am not sure it removes pharmaceutical residue. Sorry - this is a disgusting statement but it is true - The other concern is flushed used tampons contaminating the water supply with blood. If I recall correctly, the blood is more of a concern than the drugs. Like everything else, the government doesn’t do a very good job with anything.
